The Experience
Travellers may discover Nepal’s rural culture and Himalayan views during this sightseeing experience including accommodation, breakfast and trekking with simple preparation and minimum equipment. Main attractions along the trail include the following: Shivapuri National Park, panoramic views of mountains from Chisopani, sunrise and sunset views from Nagarkot, visit to the ancient temple of Changunarayan (listed as a World Heritage Site).
The Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Early in the morning around 8:00 am, drive to Sundarijal by car/bus/van and hike up to Chisopani (2200m) crossing Shivapura National Park. Overnight at Chisopani. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 3: Wake up early in the morning to see sunrise from Chisopani, from here tourists can see panoramic views of twenty snow-covered mountains. After breakfast hike to Nagarkot for six hours through straight trail. Overnight at Nagarkot hotel.(Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Day 4: Early in the morning see sunrise view and panoramic views of various mountains including Mount Everest. After breakfast trek down to Changunarayan and visit old Hindu temple Changunaraya, then drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch)
Day 5: Sightseeing at Monkey temple, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Patan Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.(Breakfast/Dinner)
Day 6: Departure to onward destination. Transfer to the airport. (Breakfast)
